I had the pleasure of meeting Barry a number of times, the first was when he was planning the make the Gold Coast his home. He flew over the Gold Coast looking at properties and found one he liked on the Nerang river. It happened to be owned by a friend of mine Ray Gulson. Ray owns Canberra Speed Shop at Fyshwick. Ray introduced us when he flew out from the UK to purchase the property. He was a very friendly, sincere and genuine person. He befriended Paul Feeney after settling on the Gold Coast.
