Rob Moorhouse was tragically killed at Mount Panorama on the 12 April 1980. Sadly, I was also competing at Bathurst where Rob Moorehouse died. Tall and gangly, he was the true "gentleman racer", racing just for fun, but always riding good machinery, he turned up to races towing his trailer behind a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow sedan complete with a Union Jack painted on the roof. He was riding his brand new TZ750 when he was killed.
